Inside the Lux Comfort 9000 you will find generous layers of wool, flax, cotton, layered wool, Pashmina, bamboo and alpaca. Each fibre earns its place: wool and alpaca bring soft, springy surface comfort, cotton and bamboo wick moisture away, and flax adds resilience deep in the build.
Together they breathe naturally with your body, keeping you cosy in winter and fresh in summer, without the clammy feel of synthetic foams.

Side stitching is one of the oldest marks of a truly premium mattress, and it is still done by hand at our NBF approved Yorkshire factory. Four rows of stitching anchor the springs to the border, giving you firm, stable edges you can sleep right up to. No roll off, no sagging sides, and usable comfort across the full width of the mattress.

Hand tufted, two sided, turnable
Genuine wool tufts are drawn through the full depth of the mattress by hand, locking the natural fillings in place so the surface stays even and settled rather than shifting into lumps and dips.
And because the Lux Comfort 9000 is fully two sided, you can turn it season by season. That simple ritual spreads the wear evenly and is the single biggest reason traditional turnable mattresses outlast one sided designs.
100% viscose panels and borders

How firm is Medium to Firm?
It sits comfortably in the middle of the scale with a supportive lean. The natural fillings give a cushioned surface feel while the build underneath keeps your spine well aligned, making it a popular choice for back sleepers and combination sleepers.
How often should I turn the mattress?
We recommend turning it every couple of weeks for the first three months while the natural fillings settle, then rotating and turning it every one to three months after that. This keeps the wear even and prolongs the life of the mattress.
Will it fit my existing bed frame?
Yes. The Lux Comfort 9000 is made to standard UK sizes, so it fits any UK bed frame or divan in the matching size, including all PSCL bed frames. If you are unsure which size you need, our Mattress Size Guide can help.
Are the natural fillings suitable for allergy sufferers?
The mattress uses natural fibres such as wool, cotton, bamboo and alpaca rather than synthetic foams. Many customers with sensitivities prefer natural fillings, but if you have a specific allergy, for example to wool, please contact us before ordering and we will advise on the best option.
How long is the guarantee?
The Lux Comfort 9000 comes with a 10 year guarantee, reflecting the traditional hand finished construction and quality of the natural materials inside.
How quickly will it arrive?
Each mattress is made to order in Yorkshire and delivered free to UK mainland addresses, typically within 5 to 10 working days. You can also choose to delay your delivery if you are not quite ready for it.

Bed Frame Dimension Guide
Step 1: Determine Bed Size
Identify the size of the bed you have chosen (Single, Small Double, Double, King, or Super King).
Step 2: Headboard Dimensions
The headboard height is listed above. If an increase is needed, adjust accordingly as specified by us.
Headboard Measurements are Height x Width x Depth - (Most of the headboards are between 13cm and 25cm including the wings)
Step 3: Width and Length
Use the specified width and length for your chosen bed size from the dimensions table provided on the product page.
Step 4: Base Height
Choose the type of base you have:
- Normal Base: 25 cm
- Slatted Ottoman Base: 30 cm
- Divan Ottoman Base: 33 cm
Step 5: Footboard Height
The footboard height is consistent across all bed sizes and types of bases at 50 cm.
