The Lyon Storage Bed. A panelled headboard, a divan base, and drawers that earn their place.
Handmade in Yorkshire, the Lyon pairs a tall vertical panelled headboard with a ready built divan base and a choice of drawer configurations. It is a storage bed with drawers for people who want a clean, hotel style silhouette and somewhere sensible to put the spare bedding, without paying for a gas lift they will never use.
Vertical panels, soft edges, a base that works for a living
The Lyon headboard is upholstered in deep vertical panels that run the full 122 cm height. The panels add shadow and depth to the fabric, so the same Plush Grey looks richer on the Lyon than it would on a flat board, and the tall proportions make a standard ceiling feel a little grander. The matching footboard is finished to the same height as the base, which keeps the foot of the bed low and the room feeling open.
Beneath it sits a solid platform top divan base. There is no slatted gap for a mattress to sag into, so every mattress type is supported evenly edge to edge, and the base arrives ready built. Assembly is a matter of connecting the linking bars and screwing in the feet.
Choose from 25 fabrics across four families. Plush velvet in Grey, Silver, Cream, Steel, Black, Green, Beige, Mustard, Pink and Turquoise. Coniston chenille in Charcoal, Armour, Almond, Blue, Emerald and Pink. Naples in Black, Steel, Ivory, Pearl Blue and Silver. Crushed velvet in Silver, Cream, Black and Mink. The main display picture shows Plush Grey. Free fabric samples are available, and we recommend ordering two or three before you commit.
Prefer a taller headboard? The standard 122 cm can be increased on request. Ask before ordering and we will confirm the options.
Handmade in Yorkshire, built to order
Every Lyon is made to order in Yorkshire. The headboard frame is cut, padded and upholstered by hand, the panels are stitched and pulled individually, and the divan base is built and covered in your chosen fabric before the drawers are fitted and checked. Nothing is pulled from a shelf. Because the bed is handmade, dimensions can vary by up to 2 cm, and each one carries a 24 month warranty.
This is why we can offer the Lyon in 25 fabrics and five sizes at a price most high street ranges charge for two colours and three. There is no showroom, no middleman and no imported flat pack. The bed is made, delivered free to UK mainland addresses, and backed by a Trustpilot rating of 5.0 from more than 2,500 reviews.
Drawer storage
Choose your drawer configuration in the buy box. Drawers are built into the divan base on smooth runners, ideal for bedding, towels and out of season clothing.
Solid platform top
A firm, even surface that suits memory foam, pocket sprung and hybrid mattresses alike. No slats to creak or bow.
Ready built base
The base arrives assembled. Connect the linking bars, fit the feet and attach the headboard. Professional assembly is available as an optional paid extra at checkout.
0% finance
Spread the cost with Zopa Bank, Klarna or Clearpay. Free UK mainland delivery in 5 to 10 working days, with a rapid 3 to 5 working day upgrade available.

Lyon Storage Bed questions
Which drawer options can I choose?
Select your drawer configuration in the buy box above. Drawers are built into the divan base, so think about which side of the bed you can open them from and whether a bedside table will block a drawer front. Not sure? Message us on WhatsApp and we will help you pick.
Does the Lyon come with a mattress?
The price shown is for the bed only. You can add a mattress to your order from our mattress range and it will be delivered with the bed. Use the mattress size link on the product page to confirm the size you need.
How much assembly is involved?
Very little. The divan base arrives ready built. You connect the linking bars, fit the feet and attach the headboard. If you would rather not, professional assembly is available as an optional paid extra at checkout.
Will the headboard fit up my stairs?
The headboard is 122 cm tall and is the largest single piece. Most homes have no trouble, but tight turns and low landings can catch people out. Measure against our stairway guide before ordering and contact us if you are unsure.
How long does delivery take?
Because the Lyon is handmade to order, standard delivery is 5 to 10 working days and free to UK mainland addresses. A rapid 3 to 5 working day upgrade is available, and you can also choose to delay delivery if you are moving house or waiting on a room.
What warranty and returns apply?
Every Lyon is covered by a 24 month warranty, and standard orders qualify for 14 day returns. Full details are in our returns policy.

Purchased: Super King 6ft - Base with 2 Drawers - One Each Side - Fabric Colour: Plush Pink
From start to finish from ordering to delivery it was easy and smooth with no hiccups. I was updated at each stage and delivery was quick. My bed was delivered by Hamza and Mani who were courteous and careful in not damaging walls up the stairs and other walls they passed with the bed frame. They worked fast and efficiently to assemble the bed and took the packaging away. I will definitely be a returning customer and will recommend the company to friends and family. My bed looks beautiful thank you PSCL beds.
Very happy with my bed.
