The design
Height, lines and a quiet frame
The Chicago Heights takes its name from the skyline. Narrow upright channels run the full height of the headboard, drawing the eye up, while a plain upholstered wing on each side frames the panels and gives the bed its depth. The base is kept deliberately simple, with the same fabric wrapped round all four sides and a low footboard, so the headboard does all the talking.
Choose from 25 fabrics across four families: Plush (10 shades), Coniston (6), Naples (5) and Crushed Velvet (4). Keep it soft and calm in Plush Cream or Naples Ivory, go deep and moody in Coniston Charcoal or Plush Black, or add colour with Coniston Emerald, Naples Pearl Blue or Plush Mustard.

Every Chicago Heights bed is handmade in Yorkshire once you order, in the size, fabric and headboard height you choose. Each channel is upholstered by hand over a solid timber frame so the lines stay crisp and evenly spaced from top to bottom.
A 150 cm headboard is a tall piece of furniture, so it is made in two sections as standard. The two halves fix firmly together once in the room, with no visible join from the front, and each half is far easier to carry round a landing or through a doorway than one full-height panel.
Because it is made to order, the bed can be shaped around your room. Ask for a taller or lower headboard in the options above, or use the custom requests box for anything else.

How tall is the headboard?
The standard headboard is 150 cm high from the floor, which is tall enough to sit well above most pillows and bedside lamps and make the bed the centrepiece of the room. In the options above you can choose a taller headboard, or enter a lower height if your ceiling or a sloping wall needs it. Non-standard heights are made specially for you and are non-returnable.
What does 2-piece headboard mean?
The headboard arrives in two sections rather than one full-height panel. Each section is far easier to carry upstairs and round tight corners, and once in the room they fix firmly together. Our customers often choose a tall headboard precisely because this makes it practical to get into an upstairs bedroom.
Will it fit up my stairs?

What size mattress do I need?
Single takes a 90 x 190 cm mattress, Small Double 120 x 190 cm, Double 135 x 190 cm, King 150 x 200 cm and Super King 180 x 200 cm. You can add a mattress in the right size from the options above.
What is the difference between the slatted and divan ottoman?
Both lift on gas struts to reveal storage under the mattress. The reinforced slatted ottoman has a slatted mattress platform, sits at 30 cm and adds 6 cm to the bed length. The solid divan ottoman is a fully enclosed base with a solid floor, sits at 33 cm and is 4 cm less in width and length. Read the full comparison.
How heavy a mattress can the gas-lift ottoman take?
The gas-lift ottoman is designed for mattresses weighing up to 60 kg.

How does delivery and assembly work?
Delivery is free to UK mainland addresses and arrives within 5 to 10 working days. PSCL-Rapid™ delivery within 3 to 5 working days is available as a paid upgrade (excludes Northern Ireland, the Highlands and offshore islands). You can also choose to delay delivery until after a date that suits you. Professional assembly on the day of delivery is an optional paid extra; if you choose it, the packaging is left with you to dispose of.
What warranty and returns do I get?
Every bed comes with a 24-month warranty. Standard orders can be returned within 14 days, with return transport paid by the customer. Beds with a non-standard headboard height or custom requests are made specially for you and are non-returnable.
