The Barcelona Bed Frame with Lines
Clean vertical lines, deep upholstered comfort. The Barcelona takes its cue from the structured elegance of its namesake city: a tall channel-stitched headboard, gently winged sides and polished chrome feet, all cut, stitched and finished by hand in our Yorkshire workshop. Choose from 25 fabrics, add gas-lift ottoman storage if you need it, and it is made for you from scratch.
The Design
Drawn in clean, vertical lines
Every line on the Barcelona is placed by hand. Deep vertical channels run the full height of the 137cm headboard, drawing the eye upwards the way a city skyline does, while softly winged sides frame the bed and give it real presence in the room.
The linear pattern continues along the footboard and side rails so the design reads as one continuous piece, finished with polished chrome feet that lift the frame and catch the light.
Order it in soft Plush, textured Coniston, smooth Naples or glamorous Crushed Velvet. With 25 fabrics and colours, there is a Barcelona for every bedroom, from calm neutrals to deep emerald and inky black.
The Craft
Cut, stitched and upholstered in Yorkshire
Your Barcelona is not pulled from a warehouse shelf. It is made from scratch on order in the heart of Yorkshire, where our upholsterers build the timber frame, shape each channel and stitch every line by hand.
Because we make it ourselves, we stand behind it ourselves: every Barcelona comes with a 24-month warranty and the frame is built to take years of everyday life, not just showroom photographs.
Handmade also means made for you. Custom headboard options, optional assembly and the choice to delay your delivery are all available when you order.

These are the external frame sizes, not mattress sizes. The Barcelona fits all standard UK mattresses. Ottoman versions are around 6cm longer, and as every bed is handmade, please allow a tolerance of ±2cm.

Does the Barcelona come with storage?
Storage is optional. Choose a reinforced slatted gas-lift ottoman or a solid base divan ottoman when you configure your bed, and the whole base lifts to reveal generous storage under the mattress. Ottoman versions are around 6cm longer than the standard frame.
Which mattress fits the Barcelona?
The Barcelona is built for standard UK mattress sizes from single 3ft to super king 6ft. The table above shows the external frame dimensions, which are larger than the mattress itself. If in doubt, see our mattress size guide.
Will the headboard fit up my stairs?
The headboard is the tallest part of the bed at 137cm and usually the only piece that needs checking. Our step-by-step measuring guide shows you exactly what to measure before you order.
Can I see the fabrics before I order?
Yes, and we recommend it. We will post you free fabric samples so you can check the colour and texture in your own bedroom light before choosing.
How long does delivery take?
Every Barcelona is made to order, yet delivery is quick: free UK mainland delivery typically arrives within 5 to 10 working days. A paid rapid delivery upgrade is available at checkout, and you can also delay your delivery if you are not ready yet.

Bed Frame Dimension Guide
Step 1: Determine Bed Size
Identify the size of the bed you have chosen (Single, Small Double, Double, King, or Super King).
Step 2: Headboard Dimensions
The headboard height is listed above. If an increase is needed, adjust accordingly as specified by us.
Headboard Measurements are Height x Width x Depth - (Most of the headboards are between 13cm and 25cm including the wings)
Step 3: Width and Length
Use the specified width and length for your chosen bed size from the dimensions table provided on the product page.
Step 4: Base Height
Choose the type of base you have:
- Normal Base: 25 cm
- Slatted Ottoman Base: 30 cm
- Divan Ottoman Base: 33 cm
Step 5: Footboard Height
The footboard height is consistent across all bed sizes and types of bases at 50 cm.
